You must pick up your key at SSN's campus office. The key is ready from 1 pm on the day your contract starts.
If you live in Notodden, Porsgrunn, Breisås or Grivi in Bø, you will receive a physical key to your student accommodation.
When you are ready to move in, you can collect your key from 1 pm on the first day of your contract. Please note that the offices normally close at 2 pm. On days when there are a lot of people moving in at the same time (such as at the start of a new term), the offices will have extended opening hours.
Remember to bring a valid form of identification (e.g. bank card with photo, driving licence or passport).
You can collect your key on a day other than the first day of your contract, but it must be collected during opening hours and within fourteen (14) days of the start of your contract.
If you are unable to collect your key during our opening hours, please contact us. We will do our best to find an alternative for you (e.g. with the help of an escort, drop box or other solutions).
If you are unable to collect the key yourself, you can ask someone you know to collect it for you. The person collecting the key on your behalf will need to bring authorisation from you, or you can send us a message with the name of the person.
NB! If the first day of your contract falls on a weekend, public holiday or bank holiday, you will not be able to collect your key until 1 pm on the following working day.
It is not possible to move in between 24 December and 1 January or the week before Easter Monday.
If you are unable to collect the key to your property within fourteen (14) days of the contract coming into effect, you must let us know.
If you still do not wish to stay with us, you must cancel your contract as soon as possible. We will do our best to release you from the contract by finding you a new tenant, but you must agree to pay the cancellation period, which is three (3) months.
The first rent invoice has to be paid before picking up your key. It takes approximately 2-3 days before payment is registered in our system. If you have not received an invoice by the start of the contract, please contact SSN's Finance Department.
