Bø filmsaloon // INGEN BJØRNER with politician Mahmoud Farahmand

The Film Salon's December film is made by Jafar Panahi - an Iranian filmmaker who has distinguished himself as one of the most important and courageous directors of his time. In the film NO BEARS from 2022, Panahi explores themes such as freedom and oppression.
The film tells two parallel love stories, one in the big city and the other in a small village. Both couples face a number of challenges related to tradition, overbelief and abuse of power by Iranian society.

Panahi was awarded the Sakharov Prize in 2012, and in 2023 he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the politician Mahmoud Farahmand from Porsgrunn. Farahmand will come to the salon, and will present the director after the screening.
After the film screening, there will also be light refreshments in Framstugo, where there will be time for reflection and conversation about the evening's film.
Refreshments are included in the ticket price, and everyone is welcome!
