Thursday 21. Nov, 19:00 - 21:00
Bø
On Thursday, November 21st, there will be a lecture on historical roses organized by Bø and Sauherad garden club. Historical roses are perfect for those of you who think you know nothing about gardening! Many of them are easy to grow, hardy, can grow quite large and are wonderfully beautiful and fragrant. Now that winter is almost here, we invite you to dream about the garden joys of the coming summer.
Tonight's speaker, Solfrid Cristina Hammersmark, is a former leader of the Oslo rose association and is particularly interested in roses and tulips. She has a garden in Stabekk with 150 roses and many thousands of flower bulbs, and she has grown roses for over 20 years. Her garden has been profiled on Grønn Glede on NRK as well as in various newspapers and magazines. She produces her own rose jelly, which can be purchased after the lecture.
Admission and refreshments are free for all garden enthusiasts. Feel free to bring a prize for the raffle! Welcome!
