In Tønsberg and Borre there are several nice walks that can give you the opportunity to better get to know the area around you.
During April, joint tours or activities will be set up on most campuses. Filter your campus in the Sørøst-calendar and find walks where you are, or other things to join!
Start at SSN's student accommodation at Kaldnes Brygge and cross over the footbridge to Tønsberg brygge. Stroll along the quay and cross Nedre Langgate by Tønsberg Cathedral. Here you follow the road up towards Slottsfjellet, where you can walk around Slottsfjellet and further down towards Torget in the centre. Continue further down to the wharf area before crossing over the footbridge towards Kaldnes brygge. At a strolling pace, you use approx. 30-45 min. If you speed up, you can shorten the time considerably.
At BUA in Tønsberg, you can borrow equipment like skis, skates, helmets, etc. completely free of charge!

Length: 1 km, 10-15 minutes, universal round.
Here you can also choose to take a detour around Adalstjern. The path around Adalstjern is located at the 1st number on the map and is a small round trip around Adalstjern. The area around Adalstjern is a protected area, so you must travel with consideration and caution.
Length: 10 km and 1.5-2 hours or 5 km and 45 min-1 hour.
Start at the Sports Center on Campus and walk past SSN's large wooden building, Fagerlund, cross Raveien and follow the cycle path for a couple of hundred meters towards Horten. Take off into the forest to the right, you will see a clear path down into the forest and follow the path until you come down to the water. Follow the coastal path to Rørestrand camping. Here you then turn in the direction back towards Campus Vestfold. There are several routes you can choose to take via the housing estates. The route we have attached takes you up towards Borreveien and then you will eventually pass Midgaard Vikingsenter.
The route is approx. 10 km, but there are several places you can shorten; if you choose to cross up at Steinbrygga, the route is about 5 km. Then you come up from the coastal path towards Borre Kirke. Here you can cross the main road and continue straight across the road junction, then you will come up to the student accommodation at Klokkergården. From Klokkergården there is a straight route up towards the campus where the last bit goes through the forest behind the Research Park. Point 8 on the long route corresponds to point 3 on the short route.
At BUA in Horten, you can borrow equipment like skis, skates, helmets, etc. completely for free!
