We have found routes for four different walks in Notodden, three of them starting near campus.

1. Tour around Tinnemyra

About the trip
Starts from the campus, goes around Tinnemyra and back to the campus.
Length: 5 km (the loop around Tinnemyra itself is 2.2 km)
Time: approx. 1 h 5 min
Walk from the campus towards Sætreåsen kindergarten, continue past the kindergarten, up Meheiavegen and follow the main road until you reach the Tinnemyra car park. The circle around Tinnemyra is marked.
2. Hike to Dalsåsen
About the trip:
Starting from campus
Length: approx. 5 km
Time: 1-1.5 hours
Walk from the university car park to the E134 and cross the road. Enter Eikeskarvegen, then Høybøåsen until you reach the end of Luren where the hiking trail starts at hiking trail junction E39.

3. Easy hike to Eikeskar from Høgås
About the trip:
Starting from campus
Length: approx. 5 km
Time: 1-1.5 hours
Start from the water tower at the very top of Høgås. Continue on a well-marked and good path until you reach the Eikeskar viewpoint. You walk through a beautiful area. Enjoy the hike and bring food and drink.

4. Round trip to Tveitannatten
About the hike
Moderately challenging 4 km hike.
1 hour.
Round trip.
Walk up the stairs from Jammershol by RV360, which Notodden and Hjartdal Turlag has created. Follow the blue-marked path up under the railroad. It criss-crosses a little for the first part. Choose the path up to the right after the underpass. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to the top.
