In Drammen, we have four nice walks that can both give you a little pulse on the uphill and a good study break.
During April, joint tours or activities will be set up on most campuses. Filter your campus in the Sørøst-calendar and find walks where you are, or other things to join!
A quick and easy walk that is suitable for everyone, a bit like that in between the hustle and bustle on campus! Start at Papirbredden 2, i.e. USN Campus Drammen. You decide for yourself which way you want to go, do you want to start or end with Ypsilon?
Length: 1.1 km
Time: 14 minutes (Here you can do two laps if you have a little better time, or you can go a little extra fast to get your heart rate up!).
Tip! On a sunny day, you can make a stop in Drammen Park. It is located directly above the Ypsilon Bridge.
You don't need to use the car to get there on foot. For example, you can start in the center of Drammen, and preferably from Bragernes Kirke.
Length: 1 km
Time: 30 minutes
To get to Åspaviljongen, you can go up behind Bragernes church. Go up on the left side of Bragernes church, and cross Albumsgate, which runs alongside the church, then you can take the stone steps up to the pedestrian crossing. Follow the path up from the Bergstien, between the buildings and onto the dirt road Zik-Zakken. Continue further up the Zig-Zag, all the way to the Spiral. There are many benches on the way up the Zik-Zakken, in some places there is one at every turn, and some have great views of the city.
Look up and experience what our city has to offer from Street Art on the walls around you. Art and culture can inspire. In addition, it can feel good to direct attention to something completely different, and give your head a break from your studies.
Length: 3.4 km
Time: 1h 30min
The tour starts at Bybrua and goes along the river down Holmenbrua. From Holmenbrua, the tour goes through the small streets of Strømsø, up to Union and Øvre Sund bridge. To get back to the starting point, you walk along the river back down to Bybrua, i.e. right past USN Campus Drammen. On this tour you pass 12 street art walls and a number of other statues and sculptures. Take a break along the river, or eat at one of the many cafes on Union or Strømsø torg.
Here you get both forest and views from the "ball" on the disused ski jump.
Length: 3,4 km
Time: 1 hour
BUA has several locations in the Drammen area. Here you can borrow equipment such as skis, skates, helmets, etc:
