Contact information for your welfare host is found on My page.
Klokkergården was built in several stages and most recently rebuilt in 2022 with the aim of giving all dorms private bathrooms and kitchens in the long run.
Read about the "dorm of your dreams" at Klokkergården here.
The redevelopment also involved new social rooms for the residents, in the form of a great communal house in the "Skomakeren" building, as well as a swap room and a billiards/table tennis room.
Read more about the completed communal house, "Skomakeren", here!
Klokkergården consists of a total of 21 buildings, all with old local names from areas/farms in Borre. There are a total of 161 housing units at Klokkergården divided into:

You can charge your electric car at one of the ten new chargers that have been established in the lower parking area, behind the building called Grisehuset.
To gain access to the charging stations, send an e-mail to eiendomsdrift@ssn.no and enter the e-mail address to which you wish to receive an invitation. You will then receive an invitation to Plugpay, where you can enter your payment card and see available chargers. Plugpay can also give you a notification when the car is fully charged (NOK 3).
At Klokkergården, there is plenty of cozy spaces for the residents to meet:
All single units at Klokkergården have electricity included in the rent. Some of the couple and family apartments receive a fixed supplement to the rent for electricity. This means that you get predictable living expenses and do not have to deal with a subscription for electricity and an electricity bill.
The buildings that were built after 2006 are connected to local heating systems that contribute to heating of radiators and hot water. The rest of the buildings have electricity as an energy source.
There is a Facebook group for Klokkergården residents. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/klokkis/
Take a minute and read about fire safety. Are you a resident at Klokkergården, you will find important information about the fire alarm systems at My page.
Most dorms and all common rooms are locked with a key card (not a physical key). Only the bulding called Vaskekjelleren, does not have a key card, but a regular key.
You will receive a key card (free of charge) when you move into your student accommodation. Please do not write or make a hole in your key card, it might stop working.
Lock in via My key card
In addition you can easily unlock doors via "My key card" on My page, in the Student Sørøst app or in the web browser at your phone/laptop. Here you have the opportunity to unlock all the doors you have access to through your rental agreement with SSN. It is also this feature you can use to open the door when guests arrive.
We recommend that you always bring your key card when you leave your room. Opening the door digitally will not work if My page is down or you lack access to internet.
Remember to return your key card when moving out. There is an additional fee for non-submission.
A 10-minute walk to the beach and to Borre National Park, as well as walking distance to USN Campus Vestfold (2 km). Immediate vicinity to grocery store (KIWI Borre).
Klokkergården is located in beautiful green areas with barbeque sites, and a small play ground.
Parking is free of charge. 10 chargers (linked to solar panels) for electric cars is available for the residents (read more under Charging station for electric cars). There is a separate, lockable stall for bicycles.
Laundry with washing machines and tumble driers are located on the bottom floor in the building Smia (lock in with key card/app). You are not allowed to bring your own detergent, as the machines have a "dosing system" - which means that detergent is automatically added. If you use your own detergent, there will be a double dosage. This will result in damage to the machine and your clothes. The detergents we use at SSN are allergy friendly.
Do your laundry with appWash
With this solution everything is done with an app on your phone (you can also use a web site).
1. Download the app appWash by Miele or go to https://appwash.com/no
2. Register in the app
3. Top up the balance
At the laundry:
4. Select machine
5. Select program
6. Load clothes and start the machine
It is currently not possible to reserve machines with this solution, but you can use the app to see if there are any machines available. You will also receive a notification from your app when your laundry is finished.
Due to the rebuilding at Klokkergården, it varies whether each housing unit has its own storage room or not. The housing that were rebuilt in 2021/2022 do not have their own storage room, but have plenty of storage space inside the individual dormitory/apartment and bicycle parking under the roof.
Residents of Grisehuset, Hønsehuset, Fjøset, Stabburet, Kårstua, Stallen, Smia and Låven do not have their own storage room after the renovation. The remaining buildings have both internal and external storage rooms belonging to each housing unit.
"Gratis-bua" is a separate "swap"/exchange room for the residents of Klokkergården. Here you can leave things you no longer need, or find things you need for your dorm. "Gratis-bua" is connected to the "Hangout-room" in Stallen.
There are underground waste igloos behind “Vaskekjelleren” and “Myra”. Remember to recycle!
SSID and password for your personal wireless network can be found under the internet tab on My page.
The housing unit must be ready for handover (emptied, cleared and cleaned).
You can either deliver the key in the service office or in one of our dropboxes.
Read more about returning the key and find location for dropbox on your campus here.
