The Alimento restaurant at Bakkenteigen came third in the competition NM Healthy food in the canteen. 460 canteens took part in the competition.
The eatery Alimento is owned and operated by Studentsamskipnaden i Sørøst Norge (SSN). Camilla-Arriane Bakke has led the work on Alimento's participation.
– It's incredibly wonderful that we've been awarded a prize in this competition. We have worked hard to produce dishes that are both delicious and meet the criteria. At the same time, we've had to document our entries for the competition. It's great that we managed to get such a high ranking, says Bakke.
SSN runs the restaurants on the campuses of the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN).
Director of Campus Services Eva Kjersem Larsen says that this is a great day for Alimento, and that the concept for the competition fits well with SSN's strategy.
– We work to be as sustainable as possible. It's about thinking about the people, the organization and the planet. We are very proud of the fantastic job Camilla-Arriane and the team at Alimento have done in the competition. Now we want to use the great result as inspiration, says Kjersem Larsen.
