SSN is unfortunately experiencing technical issues. There is a problem with sending the verification email when new students create an account. We are working to fix this. International students who had a housing application deadline of April 15 have had their deadline extended to May 1.

Coffee beans (and farmers) with a clear conscience

The Coffee Barometer 2023 report provides insights into sustainability challenges within the coffee industry, such as deforestation, climate change, labor rights, and low coffee prices for smallholder farmers. It evaluates how the eleven largest coffee producers in the world are addressing these challenges. At the same time, it highlights the need for systemic changes to achieve environmental and social goals.

In this report, Nestlé and Starbucks are ranked as the best in class among the 11 largest coffee producers globally.

Effectively managing social and environmental impacts requires well-defined corporate strategies that encompass elements like transparency, traceability, supplier engagement, and procurement practices.

Starbucks FAQ

  • Filter coffee costs 16 NOK for students at all SSN serving locations.

  • If you buy a coffee card in the app, you save 83 NOK.

Scan the QR code in the app, and a benefits card will magically appear, giving you every 8th coffee for free at all SSN coffee bars. This is how the barista card works.

SSN can offer coffee at a lower price for students because, as a student association, we offer our own prices for students on campus and use this opportunity to push prices down compared to other commercial businesses.
