Welcome to the open sewing workshop with Fikseriet!🧵 Here you can get a basic introduction to using a sewing machine, sew your own projects, repair old clothes and find someone to sew with.

In Fikseriet we have most of the equipment you need, and some fabrics and sample patches. We have four sewing machines: three ordinary sewing machines and an overlock machine. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you wish.

The sewing workshop is run by volunteers who are associated with Fikseriet, who facilitate a pleasant sewing evening and give you guidance as far as possible. No registration is required. It is also possible to borrow sewing machines and other equipment outside of the sewing workshops, within the library's staffed opening hours.

This event is part of the Climate Festival § 112, which is held every January. The Climate Festival § 112 is a powerful and playful mobilization to raise the climate issue and a reminder that the new year must be a year for stronger climate action. Everyone is invited to share solutions they are passionate about. Your contribution is small and hugely important!
