May-Irene Aasen: On the Road with Jokke & Valentinerne

An important piece of Norwegian rock history will be shared this evening as May-Irene Aasen, drummer for Jokke & Valentinerne, recounts life with the band through her own photos and stories.
The book "Gutta – On the Road with Jokke & Valentinerne" is finally back in print to mark what would have been Jokke’s 60th birthday this year. Not only that, but this new edition includes 35 previously unpublished photos. The book tells the story of Jokke & Valentinerne through over 200 images – 237, to be exact, for those who enjoy the finer details – all from drummer and photographer May-Irene Aasen's personal archive. These photos are accompanied by stories and anecdotes shared by the band members, collaborators, and close friends of the group.
Book signing and sales will take place before and after the talk.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, event starts at 7:30 PM.
